Where Silverflow Technology is used

Two markets, chosen deliberately, not spread thin

Silverflow Technology's technology is fundamentally suited to low-flow, high-dwell-time, and static storage water systems, environments where water sits for hours or months rather than moving through in seconds. Rather than everywhere, we focus where that advantage is greatest.

Why contact time matters: silver colloids need extended contact time to work, which is why static and low-flow systems see the strongest results, and why high-flow, rapid-turnover systems like cooling towers are outside the current scope.
Market 01

Dental Unit Waterlines

Ultra-low flow and overnight stagnation cause severe bacterial biofilm growth inside narrow dental tubing. Chemical flushes using peroxide or bleach degrade handpieces over time and leave an unpleasant taste for patients.

Continuous, 24/7 passive residual protection with zero chemical taste or daily staff labour

Supports compliance with Australian Dental Association water quality standards (<500 CFU/mL)

Straightforward retro-fit into existing dental chair plumbing

Reduces ongoing maintenance labour and chemical consumable costs

Market 02

Water Storage Tank Preservation

Water stored in marine holding tanks, RV reservoirs, rainwater cisterns, and off-grid holding tanks deteriorates rapidly over weeks of idle storage. Chlorine evaporates within days, and UV lamps only protect water while it passes through the lamp chamber, not once it's sitting in the tank.

Up to 6 months of continuous residual preservation without chemical dosing

Prevents tank wall slime and foul odours in idle storage

Off-grid and solar-compatible, suited to marine, RV, and remote installations

Applies across marine holding tanks, RV reservoirs, rainwater cisterns, and off-grid tanks

Beyond the primary focus

One technology, many industries

The same chemical-free principle applies anywhere biofilm, bacteria, or water quality is a working problem. We're actively exploring these markets alongside our two core sectors.

Wineries

  • Chemical-free bottling
  • Control of wild yeast
  • Prevention of biofilm

Tea farms

  • Chemical-free growth of tea plants
  • Prevention of biofilm
  • Promotes extra oxygen into the plants

Irrigation

  • Maximum water quality for multiple uses
  • Totally chemical-free
  • A new phase in irrigation water

Chicken farms

  • Reduces mortality rate
  • Chemical-free spin chiller advantage
  • Additional shelf life

Bakeries

  • Total hygiene
  • Quality, chlorine-free water
  • Total disinfection of equipment

Dairy farms

  • Prevention of biofilm on milking floors
  • Sanitises milking teats
  • Reduces plate count in milk

Nurseries

  • Stronger, healthier plant growth
  • Destroys water-borne pathogens
  • Promotes additional oxygen uptake
Where it's not the right fit

We're just as clear about what it isn't for

A technology that claims to suit everything usually doesn't excel anywhere. Silverflow Technology's operating parameters are defined deliberately.

Target profile

Low-flow, static, long contact time

Flow rates under 100 L/min, static holding tanks, closed-loop systems, and environments sensitive to chemical taste, odour, or pipe corrosion.

Excluded profile

High-flow, rapid-turnover systems

Rapid high-flow open systems such as cooling towers requiring instant kill, and ultra-filtered post-reverse-osmosis lines where slow-acting residual chemistry is redundant.
